| Re: Hpv through saliva
I was just watching a program today about oral cancer and they were talking about how the HPV virus can attach itself to the tonsils and back or base of the tongue, causing abnormalities leading to precancerous or cancer conditions. They highly recommended to be checked during your dental exams and if they do not to request it, they use a light that can show any areas that may be infected. I cannot remember the technical name for the light. I don't think that HPV can be spread through saliva, although they are 2 totally different things I'm going to compare it to HIV because although it may be found in the saliva it is not enough to infect somebody, but of course that changes if you give oral sex with somebody who is infected in genital area. I could be wrong. Just remember most people do not have symptoms but can be infected.
