Colposcopy done, weird discharge? - Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Message Board

So i had a Colposcopy done on 11/5/08, this is my second one done and this one was quite painful anyway i expected the discharge with the coffee grainish texture for several days and now i have my period, i would say the discharge stopped on 11/8/08 and today when i went to the bathroom this sac like material came out of my vagina and had brown/reddishh blood clots within it when i called the doctor they advised me that it was normal that the "coffee grains" sometimes combine and make a latex type material but when i look it up online it says it could be a blighted ovum miscarriage, i initially went to the doctor due to bleeding after intercourse the last 5 times, and the last time was alot, i guess i should rest easy because the doctor said its normal but I CANT FIND ANY OTHER CASES where this has happened can someone please shed some light on this for me im a bit concerned......?

Goodness, I don't know about the blight ovum miscarriage (I don't even know what that is, so I'll go do some research) . . . (I'm back now) . . . did your doctor do a pregnancy test prior to the colpo? My doctor did one before EVERYTHING gynecological (the colpo, the cold knife cone, my next office visit).

It seems like I've heard of more bleeding about a week or two post-colpo and that it might be scabbed tissue. But I don't know for sure if that's what you've experienced.

Well I have my period now but what worries me is the sac that came out of me today at first I thought it was maybe a condom but my partner just had a baby and I know if it broke he would tell me... I'm just concerned cuz I have had this procedure done before and I've never had a sac like bag come out of me with dried up blood inside it I tried looking it up online and there's no info on it has this ever happened to anyone should I get a second opp? Ty for your response

Hi I also just had this happen to me and i had a Colp done last Monday.. Did it only occur once? I'm afraid to have sex again thinking more stuff is in my cervix still...
