aldara and time to take off warts?

Does anyone know how long it takes for the cream to work? I've been using it almost three weeks now... And I don't see much change!

Is it possible this treatment is not working for me? I also found two new warts around my urethra tonight!

This is so frustrating!!! I have an OBGYN check up on tues... Should I have her freeze them off? Or continue with this dreaded cream!!?

Re: aldara and time to take off warts?

Are you sure they're warts then? Most likely it does take a longer period, also depending how long the warts have been under the skin for. Just because this is a strong cream, doesn't mean its gonna make them drop off at the snap of your fingers. The virus and cells are way below the wart and what the cream will do is take the top layer of the skin off step by step, so you need to be patient. Also, make sure you change your towel and clothing regularly because warts spread and anyone else can catch them.

Re: aldara and time to take off warts?

well, I was diagnosed by an OBGYN... so yea its warts! My skin was not irritated/sore until I put the cream on.

Yea, I guess I just want it to be gone ASAP! I will ask my dr. what she thinks to do on tuesday.

Genital warts are really NO fun.
