You cannot be reinfected with the same strains of HPV. Once you have them, you have them. They might cause a problem later on in life (months, years, or even decades later), but you can't be reinfected. HPV does not disappear.
HPV is passed by skin to skin contact. One might be exposed to a strain of HPV at ones first sexual contact and it may not cause problems for years or decades.
