if i have low risk hpv and i just started dating someone and i didnt find out i had hpv until after we were sexually active he most likely has it. what im wondering is will we continue to transmit it back and forth to eachother if we keep having sex? or will we heal in the normal amount of time? or will we continue to give the disease to eachother until we stop having sex? im so worried that it will either get worse or never go away if we keep having sex.... please help!

HPV can't ping pong because once you are infected with a strain the general consensus is that you have it. There is no "curing" and getting re-infected because of this.

New strains though can be passed back and forth.

Actually, just like the strains you have can't be passed 'back and forth' (once you have it, you have it) any new strains can't be passed 'back and forth' either. Once one of you gets one and passes it to the other, that's it, there's no 'back and forth'.

You and your partner can continue as you were since you both most likely have what the other has now. The only worry would be if either of you picks something up elsewhere.

Just an additional note just because you have been diagnosed with low risk HPV does not mean that you cannot also have high risk HPV concurrently.
