Hello everybody
I have a few questions regarding HPV treatments for men, and the affects of having the virus when in a monogamous relationship.
My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years. My x, however, had HPV and might have transmitted to me without my knowledge. I've been checked a million times; gotten biopsies at my regular colpolscopy appointments and everything checks out ... BUT, my boyfriend has cauliflower-like warts right under the head of his penis.
So here's the problem: he refuses to see a doctor and is trying to self-treat the virus. I told him the only way to find out what he's fighting is to go see a doctor, but he won't. I've come to accept that, even if I wasn't infected, that I will be as we don't use condoms.
My Mind Burning Questions:
Any suggestions on how I can make a grown man face his fears of getting his penis looked at by the doctor?!
Is there a risk factor if I give my boyfriend oral? Will I get warts or cold-sores on my face?
He's used some oils on his warts that haven't worked; any suggestions on how to get rid of the warts (not he virus) with a home remedy, or anything that doesn't involve seeing a doctor?
I'm 25, can I still get the vaccine for HPV and will it help?
I would seriously appreciate any insight on this matter. Thanks for the help
