HPV - Vaginal Bleeding - Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Message Board

my daughter was just diagnosed with HPV two weeks ago and now she has some sort of blister or lesion. The doctor tested that for herpes. We are waiting on results. She is now bleeding vaginally. Does HPV cause vaginal bleeding? Does HPV cause blisters or lesions (not warts)?

first I am sorry about your daugther's results. No, to my knowlegdge..HPV, does not cause blisters or lesions, sadly to say... herpes does, HPV depending on how senitive she was and if he biospied the cevical area could may be why she having some bleeding.
If the bleeding becomes worse or you or concerned, call the doctor and see what he/she had to say....I know this a very difficult time for the both of You. I wish you the best and If I can be of anymore help , Please don't hesitate to write.. Best Wishes

HPV can cause lesions, but not blisters. The HPV lesions could be genital warts (by low risk HPV) or other types of lesions (also called some sort of dysplasia) (from high risk HPV).

If you haven't gotten the results of the Herpes test, I strongly suggest you call the doctor's office and get the results. It should only take about 3 or 4 working days for them to get the results back. Does your daughter have another appointment with the doctor?
