It means you need to stay current on your paps.
Even though you have had your vaccine, it doesn't mean that it protects against the strain(s) of HPV which you may be exposed to (by him or any other sexual partner* past, present, or future). The vaccine only protects against 2 strains of HPV. Those 2 strains are linked with about 70% of cervical cancer.
*Sexual partner doesn't just mean sexual intercourse, it is any skin to skin contact between vulva, vagina, cervix, penis, anus/rectum, mouth/throat.
