Hello everyone,
I'm new to this board and any help would be appreciated. I had my first abnormal pap in June. Had a colo a week later and the test results were low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. My gyno told me there wasn't sufficient sample to test for low/high risk HPV. I should've asked her, but I was just too nervous. I was never told whether I tested positive for HPV(or if a test was done), but I assumed it wasn't important since she just said there wasn't enough. And that was it. Also, when she was describing my abnormal pap before the colo, she had HPV in a different category than LGSIL. I went ahead with the cryo, and I'm going back in Feb for another pap.
Still a bit confused by it all. So here are my questions:
Is LGSIL always associated with HPV? Is it something you disclose to guys?
