This does not mean you have cervical cancer. It does mean that the doctor will want to do some more investigation, especially if you are over 30. The doctor will probably want to do a colposcopy. When he/she does the colposcopy, ask for an ECC (endocervical curettage) at the same time. The ECC is the only nonsurgical way for a doctor to sample the tissue in the cervical canal. The tissue in the canal is different from the tissue on the outside of the cervix.
