I was told I have hpv. does that mean that my husband has been unfailthful if I have only had one partner?

No, it just means that he's been intimate with someone else at some point or other in his life.

HPV can be around for years, so it's no way to determine fidelity - unless you both were claiming to have had zero contact with anyone - EVER - then it would maybe raise an eyebrow.

yeah , if he had sex 1 time with 1 other person years ago that is where it could have come from. it can take years for it to show up.

It doesn't mean he had to have had sexual intercourse. It means he (or you, I don't know) could have had some sexual encounter where genital skin and genital skin came into contact (vulva, vagina, cervix, penis, anus/rectum, mouth/throat) with someone who had a strain of HPV).

HPV is a horrible indicator of sexual fidelity.
