I believe so. The leep is just a biopsy to test the abnormal cells. It can be therapeutic as it removes a lot of the bad cells, but the virus remains.

Even if the virus remains, it doesn't mean the virus will continue to cause damage. It might, but it might not.

The LEEP doesn't cure the virus, but usually it gives you the boost you need to fight it off on your own. You can ask to receive follow up HPV tests to see whether you are still positive.
