| High risk HPV and ASCUS
Hello All,
I have had HPV ASCUS results come back I think on my last 3 pap results. My doctor has told me to just come back once a year for regular paps because ASCUS means a very mild change and it will probably go away on its own. So I have had this for about 3 years or so I think and I am going in for my annual pap test this Friday. I am extremely nervous!! Not about the pap, but about the results. My dr. told me that once I turn 21 ( which I am now) that if my pap still comes back ASCUS or worse then we will have to do a colp. and biopsies. I know that I havent been as healthy as I could have been, but I have been better than I was before. (eating lots of veggies and fruit, lot of grilled food, took vitamins for a while, trying to workout)
I guess I just would like to hear your stories and what you have went through with all of this. It has for sure put a damper on my life because I worry about it quite a bit. I do try to be positive, but I still usually think the worst.
So if/when I do have to have a biopsy, how bad is it going to hurt? And what happens after the biopsy?
Any preparation for bad new or anything about what to expect would be great!
