Hi, I was just wondering if removing warts by scratching them off is bad for any reason besides hurting like hell ... :P

Oh God! That just makes the scaring even worse if you removing warts by scratching them. When I 1st broke out I didn’t know what they were and I scratched them a lot and they started looking pretty bad and it hurt like crazy. Scratching them agitates it, and a few took weird shaped cause like a few continued to get a little bigger. I don’t know why you would want to do that? Not only does it hurt, it scares badly. What happens when you get an infection from creating an open wound? Just go to the doctor.

Scratching them off does not kill the viral infection on the skin. The goal is to kill the virus so that you will not break out again or infect others. Go to a doctor or a public health clinic.
