Just diagnosed with HPV - Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Message Board

I was just recently diagnosed with HPV. I am still trying to learn as much as possible about this virus. If anyone is also dealing with HPV and are willing to share some information or knowledge you may have about HPV, please contact me. I still have so many questions.
-Is there a test for this virus?
-Is there a risk of tranfering it to children during birth?
-Can it be transfered to other parts of the body?
-Is it okay to continue having oral sex?
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Well, I don't have HPV, But when i was in school I had to do a research paper on HPV, and i know alot on this Virus. Well, Most doctors uses a pap smear test for this virus. If you have the outbreaks in the genital area while you are pregnant, your doctor will tell you that you are going to have have a c section (I don't know if I spelled it or said it right). yes it can be transferred to other parts of that body. If you give oral sex while the person has the outbreaks(little bumps that aren't noticable) you can get them in your mouth.

I have herpes for over 5 years now. My break out are less and less every year. Just keep yourself healthy and try to keep your stress undercontrol you'll be alright
