Re: hpv corelation

The only link I'm aware of is that from what I've read HIV patients are more susceptible to having HPV (particularly the type that causes genital warts). I still remember when I first learned of my HPV and telling a past lover about it, how he immediately assumed I had HIV. Then I was reading about the correlation between the two and started getting sick with worry (which I so didn't need). My primary care physician had me take a HIV test prior to my surgery to remove the warts and that was the longest three days of my life waiting for the results. In fact I actually had to call for them when normally they let me know results within 2 days.

Thank you for your answer. Im assuming you must have had an outbreak then did they mention what they figured caused it? Because I have read that people with immune problems are the one who have oitbreaks therefore making one to believe they are hiv+

Re: hpv corelation

I first noticed something was up during the tail end of a bad cold. So basically my immune system was compromised at that time. I felt a slight discomfort (like something shifting inside) after a bowel movement. This went on for several weeks and then I scheduled an appointment with primary physician who couldn't find anything. I lucked out and got a colorectal specialist to see me the next afternoon and he discovered the wart which was inside of me and immediately said I needed surgery to remove it.

My assumption was that I had the HPV virus suppressed for a while and then because my immune system was compromised due to my cold, it decided to pay an unwanted visit.
