Hypochondriac's question of the day: prominent blood vessels on penis and scrotum

I've never noticed it before, until I started having health problems and became a hypochondriac... but I noticed the other day that the blood vessels on my penis and scrotum are very pronounced...they are a web of very small arteries. I'm guessing it's just because of the very thin skin that is down there, but again, I never noticed them and just wanted to be sure...
