| Re: Hypochondria?
Hi, i'm not sure but i think hypochondria only applies to physical symptons of a physical illness. I think you probably have alot of anxiety and thats what makes you worry about having symptons of mental illness. I also find myself worrying about if i have certain mental illnesses but i do this because i have already been diagnosed with a few mental ilnesses.
I think with hypochondria, you tend to worry more about getting a physical illness and sometimes you can imagine the symptons or they can be real and you apply them to an illness. I think you would find youreslf having continous tests and medical examinations done because you think you have the illness, even if previous tests show that you havn't.
I kno i can get like that sometimes. I will read about an illness and its symptons and then i will apply it to myself and think i have it. Its actually preventing me from going into the career i want. But at the back of my head i tell myself that i have Anxiety disorder and thats why i worry like this.
If it worries you alot, you should se your dr and see what they have to say. Try not to diagnose yourself because that can be very bad (i know from experience).
I hope i helped in some way.
xx
