Pillows Between Legs Causing Infertility?

I think that's how i spell hypochondriac.

Please take this seriously.......I know the title sounds weird........

For the past year or so I have been sleeping with a pillow between my legs.

I've heard of people doing this before - I just find it very comfortable, not having my knees bang together and everything

However, it's snug up against my crouch.....

I am wondering if the pillow could be trapping heat and causing irreversible damage to my scrotum and testicles, eventually leading to infertility....

Thank you (I recently thought of this because I know that laptops and their heat can sometimes cause infertility and I've known this so I try not to keep my laptop on my lap at all and if I have to I keep it close to my knees. this got me thinking about the pillow thing)

I googled around and found nothing, which is a good sign...

And I know that doctors can medically prescribe pillows between legs for hip problems....

But I am just making sure....

Re: An unusual question from a hypochondriac regarding pillows and infertility

I'm guessing that a pillow could potentially trap some heat in that area; giving less "breathing room." But, there is really no way to know if you're in danger of an infertility problem unless you get tested. There may be nothing to worry about!

Hi I am not sure if your pillow has much to do with causing infertility. I would imagine that the heat would be trapped but I am not sure on the effects of IF. I would ask your Dr next time you see him as well as ask him to test your 'swimmers' to put your mind at ease.

Re: An unusual question from a hypochondriac regarding pillows and infertility

have to jump in on this one. To me it seems that if your knees were closed (no pillow) it would trap more heat than a fluffy pillow in between them. Dont you think? Of if you slept on your stomach it would trap even MORE heat than on your side. So I would say that sleeping alone would trap heat..and since everyone sleeps and just about everyone has babies then you have nothing to worry about...

I do not think it will have an effect on your fertility.
