Strange glucose tolerance test results

I recently had a glucose tolerance test. The initial blood draw was 82. After drinking the glucose my next blood draw was also 82. My final blood draw was 75. My doctor still thinks I am hypoglycemic even though I don't get relief from my symptoms once I eat. Does anyone have any thoughts in regards to my results?

Re: Strange glucose tolerance test results

Both those levels are fairly normal.

It is clinically unusual for your glucose level to drop after taking an oral glucose load

However, these is quite a common finding in people if they have been fasting for a test.

I had a similar result myself.

You may benefit from having an insulin level test to see if your pancreas is producing larger than normal levels of insulin.
Your GP can organise this if you ask him/her

Hope this helps

Hi I had similar results. They found my liver is not producing enough glucose. Sounds stranger
