All natural compared to premarin? - Hysterectomy Message Board

ive been on hormones since hysterectomy 7 years ago well ive been reading up on natural estrogen and was wondering if anyone has left behind the HRT's and went all natural? if so do you feel better or worse? I went off hormones for about a year and a half and i must say i just about went nuts! I really want to try the natural way. im weaing myself off premarin.

Bio-Identical hormones are supposed to be the same as the body's natural hormones. PREMARIN is PREgnant MARre urINe, not the same as the bodys hormones.

I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago.. I had to go without HRT due to endometrosis. It is do-able but I feel so much better with the HRT. Biggest problems were hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety and moodiness.

I use the climara patch, which is bio-indentical and feel great. No side effects and no pms....

Couple of times since hyst I've had to go off the patch due to the endo flaring up, always such a relief to go back on.

thanks for the replies. ive been premarin free now for about a week and so far other then light case of night sweats im doing pretty well. i guess time will tell on the natural hormones or not lol
