I went to hospital because of possible apendix saw fluid around ovarys.Went to doc who delivered kids,been doc for years.Trusted him totally.I had two sisters with ovarian tumors at the time.Did a few tests and exploratory.Found jelly like fluid consulted siss doc said one had same thing. Told me it was cancer if not now later even though sisters binine.Said blood work pos. for cancer.Had me scared to death talked into hysto.Afterwords came out told husband no cancer couldn't explain it puzzeled.Then why take it all out?Now going through hell am only 30 going through meno and having lot of problems. Doc then took med leave 2 months later possibly permanent to move back to Canada.Would like advice.Considering lawyer.

Listen I kind of understand what you are going through. I also had a OB who was miy OB for 20 years. Delivered both my kids. A year ago developed alot of abdominal pain and Massive and clusters of ovarian cysts. He said the majority of my pain was IBS, got checked with that was fine. Kept getting cysts and horrible pain. My Gastro doc said he felt I had Endo. Comfronted my OB about that and he never even returned my calls !! I was real sick at this time so saw another OB. I had at this point a 5cm cysts on my left oavary that was pushing my uteris to thje right. Had a Lap and D&C done. Ended up with a hyst. Every thing removed but my cervix. Now I have no more pain.(this is a very short versiuon of what I dealt with. This was continues for a year)
My new OB who did the Lap d&c and Hyst found that I had enlarged cystic ovaries, Adenomyosis and Severe Pelvic Congestion. People told me I should of sued my old OB. I didn;t. I almost had a mental breakdown that whole year regarding all the pain I was in.
Unfortunately you had the hyst that may or may not have been needed. That is a hard one. I guess you can always talk to a malpractice lawyer for an opinion. The thing is he said tbat you bloods came back positive for cancer?? History of turmors in your family?? Well, I would get a copy of your blood woork, I am assuming it was a CA-125 and have another doc look at it and see what they think./ If it did come back possitive, yet it was negative then I feel it would not be the doctors fault. That would be fault of the diagnostic center you went too. I would get all your records and have another doc review them and see what they come up with.
This is quite interesting. Please keep me informed on what happens.

Thing is he later said blood test could of showed that way due to endo said it often made markers high. He had treated me for endo for years and knew I had it.However he failed to mention that before.Also when he consulted sisters doc he told me that her doc said she had cancer, something she never mentioned.When I called her she said her doc never said that she had not gone back for follow up yet so did not know results.So we spent days thinking I had delivered the bad news(family all upset)When she finally talked to doc he said he never told my doc any such thing and has even offered to testify if I sue.So I'm not sure if he deliberately misslead me or if he misunderstood(they both have bad acents(But he still insists her doc told him that.

You said that the doc was treating you for Endo??
Did you ever have a Laparoscopy done?? That is normaly how they find Endo, or did he go by your symptoms?? And how did he treat you for Endo??
Since your docs have acents MAYBE there was confusion??
