I had my TAH on Nov 29th. When I woke up, they had me on morphin and they didn't do me any good. I think i had an allergic reaction to because I was nausated, itched, and tired the whole time that I was on it. Nov 30, 4 a.m., I got up to sit in the chair, that was on the nurses list of things I had to do, by 4:05 a.m. I had gotten sick and put back in bed. 8 a.m. the dr comes in and we decide to take me off the morphin and take the cathedar out. 11 a.m. I got up and walked down to the shower and when I made it back to my room I got sick again. That was bad. It was probably about 2 pm when i finially went pee by myself. Later that night, I started feeling better, i think the morphin was wearing off. Dec 1, 8 a.m. the dr came in and we decided that I could go home. I left the hospital about 2 p.m. Got sick twice before I got home, i think it was the pain med and the riding in a car. That is just me. Finially had my first bowel movement Dec 4 at 1 a.m., I was really starting to worry. All i wanted to do was sleep and still feel sick. Dec 4, I called the dr and he took me off the percicets and gave me loritabs but shoot i only took 2 of those.
As of now, I still have my ups and downs. I get a little better every day. It drives me crazy to sit here and think man i feel good, i think i will do this and do that. When i get up to go do them, i am like wow i think i will go sit back down. I haven't taken any pain med since the 4th but the pain is still there and I am still walking hunch backed. Maybe i am just a crybaby but most times i can't walk straight up. I just can't see how a woman is healed and ready to go back to work in 6 weeks after something like this. The dr has giving me hormone pills to take but as of right now i haven't taken any just because I don't feel any different. If anyone has any questions feel free to write
