Hi
I have been getting sweats and what feels like adrenalin surges early in the mornings. I have thyroiditis, but this comes almost every day and I have hot, then immediately get cold. I am on no hormone replacement for almost a year and wonder if this could be my body going through menopause - I am 52. I really had very few symptoms after my hysterectomy/ovaries removed.
Also lots of aches and pains. I am grasping for a diagnosis. Thyoid antibodies real high, but I can't believe all of this thyroid related. My body will sometimes flush and sweat and then I will get cold.
Any one have this.

Hi Mattie,
I had just my uterus removed in 1984 and just the last two years have had hot flashes and most recently, night sweats.
I don't have the aches and pains though.
I'm also on thyroid meds too.
I've been using Estroven, it's over the counter, and it helped so much til the last
month and a half. Now, not so much.
Myself, I'm not sure about using HRT's, though some swear by them.
I wish I could find another solution since the Estroven is'nt helping as much.

Hi all! I will be adding my own post later. I'm a senior here. I haven't been around for a long time due to the fact started my own business and it really has me running.

I would like to make a comment here as I have gone thru so much beginning with perimenopause and now I'm in menopause. You wouldn't believe what you can go through as the body shifts. I call it estrogen withdrawal.

Now I realize that the two of you have had hysterectomy. It really doesn't matter what age you had this as the body performs automatically a physiological menopause related to age. If you still have your ovaries, don't forget that your body is still producing some hormone. Also hormone stores in the Adrenaline glands and they too produce estrogen and progersterone, etc. but also estrogen stores in fat. I hope this makes sense to you. It's like your body knows it's own time release for menopause.
