just wondering if you've had your surgery yet? I just had my cystocele repair, uterus suspension and rectocele repair one week ago. I was wondering if I could answer any questions for you?

I didn't have as much work as you're going to, but I had my (abdominal) hysterectomy
in 2006 and my sex life is even better than before. I still have one ovary and I know that has helped with hormones, but lots of women are on successful hormone replacement.
Everyone is different, but my result couldn't have turned out better.

I too had a vaginal hysterectomy, repair of rectocele and cystocele with mesh, bladder sling...the whole "nine yards"! I would also be happy to answer any questions if I can. I am almost 1 1/2 weeks post op.

Aleet, I ask because I have been having some difficulties with urination. I have already had to have my urethra dilated, and while it did help some, it certainly has not completely remedied the problem I am having with retention. I am now facing going back in to the OR to make a small cut in to the mesh around my bladder.....and in to one of the internal incisions. Hope you are doing well!
