Hypothyroidism

Hi,

I really need help please!!!

After I had my baby 4 years ago I was diagnosed with hashimoto's disease, severe depression and a loooong list of other symptoms which has not gone away. I have been to and Neurologist for my headaches and scans came back clear.

I have been feeling really ill for the past couple of months... Dizzy, nausea, headaches, stiff neck. I have been to an endocrinologist and they just confirmed the Hashimotos and nothing else.
I have changed my diet, cut out alcohol, caffeine, sweet everything and NOTHING IS WORKING... I feel sick everyday, the whole day.

Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to feel better?

Hi! I am new to this message board too. I have had Hashimoto's for about 15-17 years. Intake synthroid but every now and then my strengths have to be either increased or decreased. It is a roller coaster. What happens to me from time to time is I become anemic. Have you been tested for that? I have a new family doctor who is really good in looking into why something is happening. I think he likes trying solve what is going on when I (or any of his patients) go in to see him. I am very lucky that way. Just 2 months ago, found out I have asthma! You just never know with things. My point of saying all of this is you could easily have something else going on - on top of the Thyroid problems. Or you medication needs to be changed.

Re: Hypothyroidism

by change your diet, what do you mean? I am trying gluten free dairy free and so far I havent stuck to it too well. Just starting out. I feel sick all the time. Stomach issues galore. Going to try this awhile. that and a fodmap diet for IBS symptoms that I am not sure are related to the hashimotos or not. I have to cut my diet further due to GERD. so its tough. But I am tired of the stomach pain and the heartburn which were my biggest symptom along with fatigue, depression and sky high anxiety which landed me in the er several times. Until I was diagnosed and put on meds. Do you take hormone therapy such as synthroid or levothyroxine?
