| Infections every day; Please Help Hi, I am a 20 year old female and I have had fevers, swollen lymphnodes, body aches, night chills and sweats and severe throat infections for over a year staight. I had a tonsillectomy this last March and the doctors said I was sick due to my tonsils; however, now there out and I am still sick. I have been on every kind of oral antibiotic and I still have this illness. I literally am sick all the time. I haven't gotten better yet - its been over a year. In additon, the last few months I have been having horrible chest pains, and just recently shortness of breath. My doctor did cat scans and blood work - ANA and CBC - but it all came back normal he said except for large lymph nodes. If I have an infection wouldn't my white blood cell count be up? I mean you can see little pockets of puss in the back of my throat and it bleeds, and I have horrible post nasal drip with huge, hard, mucus I cough up (sorry, I know it sounds gross). I also recently had a culture of my throat and it contained no bacteria so my ENT said there wasn't anything else he could do. Also, I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.
I am sorry this is so long, but I really, really need help. I don't know what to do. I am so sick that I can't get out of bed for very long most of the week. I have fevers every single day. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything that I can do.
Thank you for all of your time,
Nicola |
