HI there, Well I too have been diagnosed with UCTD and deal with periodic hives that comes out of no where. I have been on plaquenil and have had great benefit from an arthritic point of view, however had to go off that medication as I became allergic after 3-4 months on it. I had a complete body rash and very bad itchiness...Besides becomming allergic, I had no ill side effects, it is a good drug to try...I am not on any meds now and got different creams from my dermo to deal with this autoimmune thing...
