| Really high CD4/CD8 ratio
I know that a really low CD4 level can be due to HIV, but, I've been super sick for a few years now and I've been diagnosed with Perncious Anemia, (almost unheard of in a 33 year old woman) and severe Fibromyalgia. However, I've had unilateral lymphadenopathy for three years, following Mono. The nodes aren't painful and have been growing, ever so slowly, ever since they first became enlarged. I've just had a FNA of the lymph node, checking for lymphoma. This came back negative, but, my levels were all weird. My CD4/8 ratio was super HIGH and my actual lymphocyte percentages, were also high. I know that this alone just indicates an infection of some type, but, what kind of infection can someone have for four years now?
I've had tons of blood work and, although I can't find the exact tests right now, I know that my basophils, lymphocytes, ABS basophils, etc. were all wonky (technical term, of course...). Some were high, some were low. All a big mess, really.
I have severe ear pain on the same side as the swollen glands and I have some moderate dysphagia. It was worse, but I've taught myself a "new" way to swallow that works better.
I have 8 brain lesions and apparently you need 9 to be DX with MS. My Mother and several family members have MS, but, not me......or so they say.
I have night sweats, fatigue, run random fevers with no apparent cause. I get terrible, painful sore on the roof of my mouth, but, you can't really SEE them, they just look like little red patches of skin. However, they feel like I've burned the roof of my mouth, but I never did. (kind of like that anyway)
Anyway, I've been tested for Lupus and RA and about a thousand other things with no avail. Anybody have any new ideas for me???
I've been instructed to see an Immune Specialist or a Infectious Disease doc. I'm not sure that I can start the whole process over again. I mean, isn't the worst part about being sick, the fact that YOU have to do so much of the damn work to get diagnosed and (hopefully) well again??
Geez...........
