Hi - my first post re: UCTD

Hello - I am newly diagnosed (approx 3 mos ago) with UCTD and on Plaquenil, 50,000 units Vit D 1x per week, non-inflamatory diet, am a vegetarian. I saw a post about some people having problems with stomach pain. My Rheumy suggested Aloe Vera Juice - I mix it with a little Ginger ale because it is a tad bitter to taste - it can be taken along, with water or juice etc. It has helped GREATLY with stomach pain for me - amazing. I just take some as needed and before it gets bad and it works very well for me. Anyone else have thoughts on this? I am glad to find a support group as such as this because I feel "lonely in a crowded room" as the saying goes...with all the symptoms and problems this disease process has created. Staying as positive as possible - there is always someone who feels worse. Glad to have the support group and hope to hear from someone else out there. Kind Regards, Erin

Uctd has caused many "stomach" related pains/problems for me. What has your Dr. ordered?

Re: Hi - my first post re: UCTD

Hello! For the stomach pain - mostly aloe vera juice - it does help but the pain is more of the stomach itself, if you know what I mean - not nausea or sickness. I started going to an Acupuncturist and have had 2 visits. That seems to be helping a bit. Funny that I would finally get someone (you) to contact me because last night I went to bed at 8pm with bad stomach pain - it seemed to be started by a very stressful day that triggered a flare. I am better this morning - so far.
