| PID / "hypothyroid amenhorrea"?
Hello, looking for some input - thanks in advance.
I went to my doctor in the spring with complaints of exhaustion. I asked if I could be tested for Lymes and Mono. I am frequently sick, often bronchitis and GI infections. Test results came back - I have low IgG, IgA, low white blood cell count. Told to see an immunologist. The immunologist I saw was not very proactive - at the time did not put me on immunoglobulin therapy.
I went to my GP within the last month because I am no longer getting my menstrual cycle. It's been nearly three months. Had a round of blood tests done again. Low estrogen (I'm 26, the doctor considers me "pre-menopausal") and T4 free at .9 - she thinks it may be hypothyroid amenhorrea.
My symptoms include: hair loss, extremely dry skin, exhaustion, irritability and anxiety, (worse than I've ever experienced) depression, tingling in extremities, development of TMJ and frequent ear aches due to irritated nerves, need to move to not feel tired, to name a few.
When I read up on symptoms of hypothyroidism, many of the symptoms have been present for a long time, I just figured it was "me"...just my body. Now that all of these things are happening at once, I am wondering if they are all related...
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
