Sling surgery for stress incontinence.
I had a midurethral sling procedure just one week ago. My urologist used a material called Pelvilace which when I searched on-line seems its one of the best materials to use as it adapts to human tissue well. So far, so good. I have had no incontinence yet. I was supposed to self catheterize after surgery but even after learning in the Dr. office, when it came time to do it the day after surgery, I couldn't self catheterize but was urinating on my own. I had to return to Dr. office and they did an ultrasound to check for post-void residual and there was very little so they said I could refrain from the self cath and I see Dr. next week. The only problem I have is urinating quite frequently and a real slow stream. Anyone have info about that and if it'll get better? Since I'm feeling quite well just one week after surgery, is this a sign that I'll not ever have a problem or can problems with these crop up later on? I'm trying to think of all questions to have ready for my urologist next week.
