Aloe Free Baby Wipes?

Hi, new poster, just found these boards from a web engine search.

Newborn (1 day old) daughter needs her bottom wiped. Problem: Mom (and family) with a history of an allergy to aloe gel. Problem ^2: Every lousy pre-moistened towel[ette] in the freakin' grocery store, Wally World, Sam's Club and everywhere has ALOE proudly displayed on the label.

What on Earth is a new dad to do, other than just wet some dry wipes and do it himself?

Mom is allergic to pretty much everything under the sun, but that's an intriguing tale for the Allergy board. I just want to figure out what to do about this (rather immediate) problem. Does SOMEONE still sell wipes without Aloe in them?

I couldn't find any wipes that didn't irritate my DD skin. And I've never seen any without aloe sorry We just used baby wash cloths and clear water.

Re: Aloe Free Baby Wipes?

You can buy cloth baby wipes. Do an online search for cloth baby wipes and you should get a lot of choices. They are usually sold where you can buy cloth diapers. They are used by natural parents who don't want harsh chemicals on their children. You could check your local health food store or co op also, they may carry them.

Lansinoh baby wipes do not contain any aloe vera. You can do a search for them, they are pretty common.

Target Brand wipes for Newborns do NOT have aloe in them. And they're very reasonably priced as well. I'm also going to check on the Lansinoh wipes myself (would like to order them online anyway).
