I have a seven month old soon to be eight. I believe to be very stuberent. She refuses to be on her stomach, to roll over and will not put any weight on her arms or hands. At 10 days old she could lift her chest totally off the floor. At birth she has always rolled to her sides to sleep. Now she wont lift more than her head off the floor when she is on her stomach. She spits up every time shes on her stomach and screams constintly. I sit her up shes fine. She rolled in one dirrection to her stomach 3 times now wont do it. Never has to the other side. When I try to get her to put weight on her hands or arms she swings them out from under her. If i try to hold them in position to push the issue she screams. Her legs are strong as can be. She loves to bounce and stand on them. Just wondering if she is stuberent or if there may be an under lieing problem. I worry alot. Any sejestions Im open for.

That something I would definitly ask your Dr about. All babies develope differently, but that does seem a little off, especially with the spiting up and screaming on her tummy? I would surely see a Dr. Perhaps she has acid reflux?

I wouldn't worry, all babies are different, but ask your Dr. to make yourself feel you've done all you can.

Some babies never really like their tummies, some never really crawl or roll. One of my kids went straight from sitting up to standing, then walking, never crawled. One only scooted herself around, never crawled. My current baby cannot stand being on her tummy at all.

The milestones are just that milestones, not all babies do all of them.

DS didn't like being on his tummy early on. We figured it was because he was born with a bowel obstruction and had to have surgery, so he associated being on his tummy with pain. He also had reflux, so we figured it was just uncomfortable for him. He did eventually crawl - thought he'd go straight to walking. Now he's two and I notice he's constantly playing on the floor laying on his tummy or sleeps on his tummy
