Teething already?!?! - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

My DD is 7 weeks and already has a little hard nub on her gum. My DS was 2.5 months when he started teething (early I know) but she isn't even 2 months. She was SCREAMING all day long and NOTHING I did helped. She is constipated as well so that's all I thought it was. Oh no no. When she was screaming I saw this little white thing on her gum so I felt it and yep sure enough it's a tooth cutting in. But it's on the upper side. My DS started on the bottom. I had my mom come over to feel it and she even said that is what it was. She didnt' believe me when I told her until she felt it. Isn't this a little EARLY!!!!! OMG My poor chichi

Poor little thing. Though your baby is young, those teeth can come at any time. Sometimes babies are even born with a tooth already in their mouth. Crazy huh??

See I knew they could be born with them AND when they put her on my chest the first time I even said "OMG she has a tooth" and they all laughed at me. It's in the same spot too. Grrrrrrr see mother does know best. haha not my Mother or MIL but ME.

yeah every baby is different, my dd did not start getting teeth until about 6 months old and she would cut 4 at 1 time, then the next were closer to a year old and she cut another 4 at 1 time. So I think it is normal for her to be starting already. good luck
