Cries for everyone - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

Hi, quick question.DD cries for everyone but me DH, although he is not immune from this torture either.My daycare provider says she can be fine and eating then if she says something to her she will start cryng and won't finish till she is calm.I handed her to grampa so I could wah my hands after a diaper change & she screamed until I got back then calmed down instantly. Anyone elses baby go through this? I am afraid I will lose day care if she doesn't stop.She is 3 1/2 months is this a stranger anxiety time? Thanks for any help.

I'm pretty sure she's too young for "stranger anxiety" I think that comes a little later.

My DS will "tolerate" others for a short while, then will cry for me. He will go longer if I'm right next to him when others hold him. He's 3 months old.. He's been with DH for as long as 4 hours, while I got some sleep...but after that he wouldn't stop crying untill I got him. I actually find it quite flattering

Well maybe it has something to do with nursing too.

I just want to add that I wouldn't worry about her daycare. They are used to crying babies!! That's what babies do. And if they don't want your daughter beacuse she cries a lot then they are not used to little babies and you don't want those people to be taking care of her.
