Wink Anyone with 3.5-4 month olds?

Good Morning!
My DD is almost 4 months old (This coming Friday). I just thought it would be fun to share experiences to this point - my DD is rolling over from her stomach to her back now during the night - it wakes her up. She has slept on her stomach since she was born (Yea I know!) but it was the only way she would sleep....She is sucking her hands non-stop. The DR said she is starting to get teeth. To me this is early - does anyone have a DD or DS who is doing the same? Now she seems to try to roll from her back to her stomach....she was sleeping from 9:30-7:30 every morning - but this past week she must have had a stomach bug that got her (along with the teeth issue) and she seems off her sleep schedule....she was eating about 33 ounces a day and now it seems she doesn't want to eat as much.....for the most part she smiles all the time and seems to be doing quite well. What kind of experiences are each of you having and how are your children coming along? I just thought it would be fun to share.....

My DS is almost 4 months old as well, and has quite the little personality. He smiles non stop, and laughed for the first time last week during his bath. He loves to watch The Price is Right for some reason...lol. And he has recently started rolling, last week it was from his back to his tummy, and now he can roll from his tummy back onto his back. He's a really good sleeper, and an excellent eater! He's just a fun little guy!

Andilyn - Did he roll over from both sides right around the same time? She started from stomach to back - but only can get as far as her side going from back to stomach. I am sure it will happen soon - but she spends more time on her belly - I should give her more back time.....Does your Son get rice cereal yet?

Re: Anyone with 3.5-4 month olds?

DS is 4 months old today. And a little behind. He giggled once last week in his sleep. He can "squeal in delight" but no giggles. He rolled over from stomach to back on accident one day, he was trying to watch me as I stepped around him. I doubt he will ever roll over as laying on the floor is very tragic to him. He is always smiling. Loves his jonnhy-jumpup and exersaucer. He got his first cold on Thursday and has been miserable ever since. I feel so bad for him. He sucks on anything he can get in his mouth and bits down, so I think teeth may be coming. (But he has down this for 2 weeks now) He has been eating rice cereal for about 3 weeks now. So I am thinking we are getting ready to try something new. Although I am a little unsure what to start when and how much and how aften. He drinks about 5 ozs every 3 hrs. And lately he has not been as hungry although he eats just not as crazy fast as he used to.

Re: Anyone with 3.5-4 month olds?

Hi gals,

It's neat that we have all jumped over from the pregnancy boards. I remember complaining there b/c I couldn't fall asleep until midnight! Ha! What I would give to sleep straight from midnight to 5:30 now!

Liam is 14 weeks old now. He is having a serious love affair with his hands which are always in his mouth. He is drooling a ton too so I wonder if we might have an early teether as well. I can see him trying to roll from back to tummy and he has almost done it a few times. His smiles are plentiful yet naps are still in short supply. It's ironic to me that I went and had a baby who is addicted to car rides during the summer when gas prices are at an all time high! It is really the only way to get him to sleep. Oh well, at least I live in coastal Maine so there is plenty of good scenery as I drive.

Baby and dad are playing "where's the baby" now in the other room. This game consists of us holding some piece of fabric above him and swooshing it by his face as we say "Where's the baby?". He loves it. The funny thing is if we put the cloth in front of one of our faces and say "where's mummy or daddy" he screams. I guess he hasn't figured out that our faces being covered doesn't mean we are gone.

So, this is fun, and the hardest thing I have ever done. Let's keep writing. It makes the hard times easier!

Hasta la vista,

Jen
