DD has diarhea, what to do? - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

My daughter is now 8 weeks old and has had diarhea for the last week. She is on Lactofree Lipil and has been since she was 2 wks old. I called the Dr. yesterday but he was out of the office sick and the nurse wasnt in. So I was wondering if I should be giving her pedialite or what? She isnt running fever or throwing up its just the runs. Could it be the formula or maybe something more.

She said they didnt. Im calling first thing in the morning to see if they are in so I can bring her in. But I was just wondering what yall thought.

Hope everything is okay...and yes you need to replenish fluids in a little one to make sure they do not dehydrate.

Do you have a number that you can call such as ask-a-nurse, or nighttime pediatrics for advice??? A nurse number should be 24-hours and toll-free.
