my dd was born 10 weeks ago today by c-section and I still have not received my period. How long does it take to come again and should I expect it to be heavy the first time?
P.S - There is no possible way i could be pg again (lol)

my son was born Sept 27th and I just started today. Nothing major yet so I can't really tell you how horrible it will be. Hopefully not too bad since I have a horrible cold/flu and so does the rest of the family. I don't need that added to it. I've heard they are horrible especially if you had your tubes tied which I did. So We'll see.
Are you breast feeding? My baby is almost 6 months old and I still have not had a period. It's great really - like I have time to worry about that!
If you are breast feeding, it is entirely possible that you will not have a period until you stop. This does not mean that you cannot get pregnant. Be sure to use BC.
I have a soon-to-be eight week old and still have not had mine either. With my son, I stopped bf at six weeks and still didn't get my period back until four months later. My doctor says it can take up to six months for everything to get back to normal.
I had a c-section and I think mine showed up about 7 weeks later. I'm not breastfeeding. By the sounds of it, it's different for many women. I think there's usually a few months give or take. A warning for you though, I don't think it's the same for everybody but when mine did come it was brutal. It was extremely heavy, like 10 aunt flo's in 1. Worse than when I was in the hospital actually. No one warned me so I thought something was seriously wrong and it scared me to death. They do recommend you go to a doctor if it doesn't quit in a decent amount of time to check there wasn't anything left that shouldn't have been but my doc said with a c-section that's rare. Hopefully yours won't be that bad but there are people that have really bad ones. Luckily the next one was back to normal.
I breastfeed my son, well at night now anyways, and I had him in july, got my af in october, skipped november and just had it for december lol. Mine was not all that bad, but I had light for the first day, then the next 2-3 days heavier, changing tampons every like 2 hours, then went light the next day and stopped. I thought it strange to skip a month, but ok lol good luck
I had my baby 3 months ago. I breastfeed. I haven't got mine yet. I have been noticing some twinges in the ovary area the last couple weeks & kind of wondering if things are coming back to life again.
I was never regular...ever, and I was on the depo for 7½ years, went off & got pregnant pretty quickly. I guess it's been about 8½ years now since I had a period. I'm not on and BC right now, so this will be interesting to see what happens.
2nd day of this and I must say I remember how much I hated this time of month and why and as they say it's HORRIBLE much worse than before not to mention I have the flu so I feel like I'm going to collapse as it is.
The dr told me at my feb appt they may put me on bc pills just to even me out because my tubes were tied.
I am cramping horribly not to mention the TMI department. UGH BAD!
Im GLAD someone asked this! I was so scared cause our son is 7 weeks Friday and I stoped bleeding 2 weeks after I had him and we went RIGHT at it, he didnt pull out 3 times!! I was getting scared and posted the same question on another site. I know I should be more careful, I have to be! I go to the Dr on the 27th and will get bc then. But THANKS for posting this, I feel better!
Mine came about 7 weeks after my DS was born. It was the period FROM HELL. It was the worst thing in my life. But I had my tubes tied, and that adds to it I guess. And then my second was the next period FROM HELL. I was gushing non-stop, all over. Anyway, I had a procedure done to help that, and it was the best thing I have ever done. But every woman is different, so your first one might be fine. But just a warning that it can be rather heavy. But I would think that you are going to have your first one anytime now. It does take a while like others have said.
I had mine 13weeks after c/section, nobody warned me either how bad it could be (ive always had heavy periods, but this was something else!)
For armed is for warned, if it is heavy you can take solace from the fact its quite normal, i wish id know at the time cause i was quite concerned.
I had my dd on Sept 2 by C-Section, and still havent gotten my period. Im very paranoid about getting PG again, so hubby and I are being extra careful and using protection when we dtd, until my appt with my gyn where Im hoping to be able to go back on bcp's.
I had spotting Friday, very light flow and it went away like an hr later. My friend said that I need to be careful with that. I think its just my body adjusting, I HOPE IT IS!
I finally got my Aunt Flo on Xmas eve. It was almost 12 weeks. Cramps arent too bad but boy is it heavy. It has been one year exactly since my last cycle and boy I sure didn't miss this s***!!

I am happy for you. lol . Hopefully, there is an end in sight...of course that won't happen until menopause .
I had my sons 2 month check up at the Dr today along with me, and I told him I still havnet gotten it and he said its normal. Your body tries to get back to itself, weight loss, and everything else. I got a Rx for BC tho, Im 27 and never took it a day in my life, LOL
