How many weeks after your baby did you all get your first period, and what is the average?

One more question was it as bad as everyone says it is?

I was around 8 weeks pp when mine came.

I have never heard any one say it was bad, or would be bad.....Mine was like my normal ones.

Hi there...
I'm breastfeeding and I got my first period when ds was 5mos. It was like a normal one for me..had the cramps and bloating and arghh i could do without!!

I don't bf and mine was around 12-13 weeks and it was as bad as I had heard and then some. The first two were completely HORRIBLE. *sorry* to the ones waiting for them but it's true and I am used to bad periods my whole life but nothing like this. I still have some problems that I didn't have before like severe cramps to the point of puking and I have to walk around with a heating pad stuffed in my pants. lol TMI! I am not sure if mine have been so bad because I had a tubal or if that's the norm.
