I don't burp much either. Theoretically, a breast fed baby doesn't *need* to be burped because there is no air in our boobs. They only take in air with a bad latch, or if you have an over active let down and they choke and gurgle.
If the baby is taking a bottle then air intake is more likely to happen, but even then, I don't burp her much. Supposedly if they don't burp with in a minute or so they don't need to, and I figure if she's asleep for more then a minute without looking "gassy", then why wake a sleeping and happy baby?
But, if you think she's painfully gassy, which happens, then why not try some infant gas drops? I don't know what I do without that stuff. DD gets at least one dose in the evening. I find it works way better then gripe water. Way better.
