Growth Spurts - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

Hey all
I think my dd has had a growth spurt as when she was about 6 weeks she just wanted to feed and feed all day for about 2/3 days. Now at 9 weeks she seems to be sleeping loads.

She went to sleep at about 9 last night and didn't wake until 9 this morning and now at 11:15am she's asleep again. We even tried waking her up last night at about 11:30 just to give her a top up feed because we didn't think she'd sleep much longer and we wanted to go to bed, but there was no way she was waking up.

She usually goes to sleep at 11/11:30 pm and wakes up at about 5am. Is sleeping something that happened when your little angels had growth spurts?
Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining!!!! But I just wondered if this is normal??

Tear Drop, my 5 yr old ds has always slept a ton right after/around a big growth spurt - he still does. I've also noticed that my 7 1/2 wk old dd has sort of done the same thing. She'll eat like crazy for a few days and then sleep like crazy.

yeah that is normal - get as much rest as you can while they go thru the sleep period of the growth spurt!! that is my advice!
