Yet another diaper thread...

Here's the situation; DD has been wearing Huggies Baby Fit since she out grew Pampers Newborn. However, she is between sizes and is LEAKING like crazy. She is two big for 2's and too small for 3's. When she poops in the 2's it oozes out the top (they don't come high enough), but when in the 3's it leaks out the sides. It's gross, and the I've had to do middle of the night wardrobe changes two nights in a row and it's driving me crazy.

The problem is that she has rather rolly polly legs, which is why we switched to the Baby Fits. They seemed to fit her better. I don't like Huggies Supreme, they dig into her legs.

So... what do I do now? I like the quality of Pampers, we only switched because the Baby Fits fit better. I think I'll try them, but what size do I get? I don't want to waste a package of diapers if I get the wrong size. Can I return an opened bag of diapers with one or two missing?

Any other brands to suggest?

I would definitely go with a size 3 cruiser. The huggies seem to fit my children well when they were still small and curled up when they start to stretch out then pampers are great.

I agree, definatley go with the size 3 cruisers. If they are a bit loose then just put them on a bit tighter. I went through this same thing with ds when he was between sizes and once I put him in 3's he didn't leak again. Just cinch them up a bit.

i had the same problem when ds was to big for newborn, but still to small for size ones. i found that during the difficult transition it was easier to deal with the to small than the too large, which like you said leaked around the legs. to combat the poop coming up the back, i just made a concious effort to put the diaper on with the back up higher than the front. this seemed to work for me. hope this helps.

I think I'm going to get the Pampers Cruisers then. I'm going on a diaper run first thing in the morning, hopefully we'll stay dry and clean tonight.

The only problem is, is that we JUST bought a giant pack from Costco, that has almost 200 diapers in it. I know they have a satisfaction guarantee, but my husband says warehouses (like Costco) doesn't have to honor it and we have to do it through the manufacturer. Has anyone taken an open box of diapers back to Costco? I hope I don't have to eat this box, that'll suck! I also don't want to use diapers that don't fit or work just for the sake of not wasting them. I'm in a pickle!!
