| Re: How to help a 3-month-old learn to sit better?
DD was starting to hold herself sitting up around 5 months old, but always tipped over pretty fast. At 5.5 months old, I sat her up & supported her with the boppy pillow & she could sit up for a long time & liked to play like that. It helped her balance better. She was seeing the world from a different persepective. After a couple weeks of the boppy holding her up, she was able to hold herself up alone without the support.
Did the boppy actually help teach her balance??? I really don't know. Probably not. She was sitting up at 6 months old...which is a normal age for that. I think it gave her a little motivation to want to sit up more. It gave us something new to practice on. I think the repetition and DD working new muscles was what really did it.
