ds is 6 weeks old and sometimes when he's alert and looking around, his eyes will cross. is this normal? does anyone else have an occasionally cross eyed baby?
Yup, it's normal. Ava used to do it too. Actually, one of her eyes would get "stuck" in a crossed position, pointing toward her nose. I asked our Pediatrician about it and he said their eye muscles (what ever they're called.. lol) are just not very strong yet. She out grew it. I haven't seen her do it in a long time and she's 4 months old.
My son used to do it also, it would drive me crazy because every picture of him when he was newborn his eyes are crossed, he grew out of it somewhere around 3 months.

i know just what you mean! ds doesn't do it all the time or anything, but everytime i try to take a picture of him his eyes are crossed! thank God i have a digital camera so i can just keep erasing them and taking them over.
My man is 4 months and still goes cross eyed every now and then especially when he is pushing out a poo!!!! Doctor told me some babies dont correct their eyes till a year old but it is totally normal and nothing to worry about
