hissy fits while changing her diaper??? - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

changing my 11 month year old daughter is horrible. sometimes i feel like crying. as soon as that diaper comes off she freaks out and twists and turns, and putting a new diaper on is a job in itself too. she also does this when i try to put cloths on her. will she ever get over this, or when she walks will she just run from me???? it's like she's having these nasty hissy fits and stiffens uo her whole body.

dd daughter does this with me sometimes. it sucks! cause she is only five months old! i noticed that she does it if she is 'hyper' and is eager to get away and practice crawling, or when she is not in a good mood. i have noticed that if i change her in her crib under the mobile that it helps to distract her better. i hope someone has some suggestions or advice cause i'm curious too. sorry im not much help just wanted you to know that you're not alone!

My son is 6 months and does this.. I was hoping it was only a phase

i'm new to this board, can you tell me what the abbreviations mean, when people say dd and ds????

yeah, and it does suck, lol. i was wondering if they get over this phase anytime soon. my daughter does it EVERY time i have to change her. and nothing will work at all.it's like i almost have to force her down, and she flips out. she just so wants to get loose from me and crawl around naked!!

Hey,

My cousins baby used to be like this. Well she was about 3/4 months ago. She never liked me or my mum change her nappy but she was ok with her mum doing it.

I don't think why she was like this but she's ok now. She still has a hissy fit but not as bad. I think it's a self concouis thing but i don't know.

I hope you get your baby sorted soon, if he/she still does it then take her/him to the doctor or midwife or someone who can help. He/she will be ok.
