Need to choose a pediatrician.... - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

HI girls. I am 31 weeks pregnant and need to find a pediatrician. I have no idea how to go about doing this, what questions to ask, etc. There are 2 large offices near my home that I would like to check out. I would think going to a practice with many doctors is better than a practice with just one. For example, if my son is sick, one doctor may not be able to fit him in, etc.

Can anyone offer me some advice?

When I was pregnant my midwife gave me a list of pediatritians. I looked at who was on the list (some I went to when I was a kid and I didnt even like them) and so I looked at who my insurance company would carry. There are some websites that offer questions if you want to do an interview with them. I decided on our pediatritian for several reasons...1) I went to her when I was younger and loved her 2) my sil goes to her and recommeds her very highly and 3) my mom and dad take my younger brother to her and they love her too.
