WHEN DOES A BABY USUALLY START HOLDING THERE BOTTLE? mY TWIN GIRLS ARE 8 MONTHS OLD AND STILL DON'T SEEM TO INTERESTED IN HOLDING THERE BOTTLES. I GUESS THEY ARE THINKING WHY BOTHER IF THEY WILL DO IT FOR ME. I WAS JUST WONDERING OUT OF CURIOSITY.
Hi! My son would not consistently hold his bottle until he was over 10 months. He just couldn't get the hang of tipping it. But now at almost a year he wants to hold it by himself (now..... to get him to drink from a cup! lol it never ends!)
my dd is five months old and is breastfed but when we 'experiment' with bottles she is able to hold it herself and play and bite it. maybe you should try letting them 'play' with the bottle when they are not very hungry and let them get used to doing it themselves. because when they are hungry they really are not going to want to try and do it themselves. good luck!

My son is 6 months and he just started to hold his bottle. Once we got him a sippy cup with handles he likes (gerber ones that have ajustable handles) he got the hang of it quickly. My niece has been holding her bottles since she was about 3 or 4 months old.
