I have a descent diaper pail but now that ds is a bit older---4 months----I've noticed that the urine smell is getting stronger and the pail can no longer contain the smell for more than a day or so. Should I start changing the bags out everyday? The diaper pail is in his room, but in his bathroom that's in his room. So, it's not sitting on carpet or anything, but on tile. The minute I walk into his room, it has this faint smell of urine that just irritates me. We're very clean people and we keep our house clean, but I imagine if this smell bothers me then it most likely bothers poor little ds?!?!?
The diaper pail I have doesn't require those expensive bags. I just use bulk trash bags from Costco---so changing the bag out everyday at the end of the day isn't a problem.
When I change out the bags I always spray the pail down with Lysol spray, but maybe I should wash it out too with bleach every now and then?
Any advice or suggestions would be great!
