Hi all
I have a month old baby that I am concerned about. I think she is showing signs of the milk and soy protein intolerance that her older sister had when she was a baby. My mom keeps bugging me about it and is convinced that it is not a matter of if, but when she will develop the allergy because she was told that it runs in families. So am I to assume that my baby is going to have MSPI just because her sister did? I am so paranoid that she is developing it that every little (or big) cry is a result of MSPI. She is making me feel giulty for continuing to breast feed because she makes me feel like I am intentionally hurting my child. I do not want to quit breast feeding my baby like I had to with my first daughter. I think that it is the best thing you can do for your child. But if I am hurting her I have to stop. I guess I am wondering how common MSPI is and if it is true that once you have a baby with MSPI , all your babies will have it.
Does anyone else experience MSPI with their babies?

I knew someone who's baby had an intolerance to milk. I am not sure about soy. She kept on nursing and just made sure she avoided all foods with milk or milk products in them. But if she didn't her DS broke out in this horrible oozing rash. All of her kids have an allergy of some kind but not all the same. Another is allergic to corn and corn by-products.

My baby has been very fussy and gassy lately, and I was told she most likely has a milk intolerence. I have to stop eating dairy, because I want to keep breastfeeding. I imagine you can just avoid those foods and keep breastfeeding successfully.
